Dedicated to beating rare cancers, Cycle for Survival hosts a series of indoor team cycling events across the U.S. to raise funds for lifesaving rare cancer research and clinical trials. In 2019, the organization reached a significant milestone: raising more than $200 million dollars since its inception in 2007. Every penny Cycle for Survival receives goes to funding cancer research led by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, the largest and oldest private cancer center in the world, as well as the owner of Cycle for Survival.
The donations came from over 765,000 individuals in all 50 U.S. states. Additionally, the founding partner and host of Cycle for Survival, Equinox, played an integral role in achieving the milestone. It made a commitment to match $400,000 in funds in advance of reaching the $200 million mark.
